Good News, Bad News

The good news is we got out of PGN very quickly, we did not get sent to the gulag otherwise known as "investigations", Alexander is with Miriam and our lawyer called us promptly to let us know of our status. The bad news is that we go back to PGN again for round 2.

The PGN attorney wants us to write a letter stating that we both have met Alexander in person and understand he will need at least one more surgery. Even though our home study explicitly stated that we were open to a child wth cleft lip and palate, they still want to hear from us.

So, we are writing this letter tonight and faxing it Monday. It does not need to be legalized or anything, which is a good thing. If we clear PGN in a month again (knock on wood, cross your fingers and toes) then we weill get "the call" around the end of August. That will be our short term notice of the Embassy appointment, which is the final step. Then he will officially be our son!
